Medieval Mayhem – July 8-10

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Black Wren Morris will be bringing our bells up to Medieval Mayhem in Showlow, Arizona. Ok, technically Lakeside, but you get the point. We, of course, will be foregoing our top hats and black skirts for breeches and bodices! We do not have any stage shows, but not to worry! We will be doing our Gorilla Morris around the festival so just remember to listen for the bells!

Come up to Lakeside and get out of the heat this weekend. Other acts that will be up there include; Ghazaal Beledi, Three Guys and a bunch of Drums, and The Fools!

There are a lot of campsites nearby and tickets are only $10, so make a weekend of it and come join us for this mountain top escape!

So, this year at the Renaissance Festival several Morris dancers camped with Ghazaal Beledi (ok, most of them were, in fact, the same people) and one night we began writing quotes on the white wall of our trailer…….

Erin: Jen told me not to put my finger in it! (Refering to the hot chili of course.)

Ashley: Ooooo, these grapes taste like fruit!

*  *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Annonymous: Bacon is like meat candy.

Ashley: It’s like watching a snake eating a gopher!

Cyrus: I need a huge bowl just to make this girl make sense. (He was refering to one of Ashley’s babblings)

*  *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *

Laura: Laughing makes you live longer.

Erin: Then I should stop watching the ‘Fox and the Hound’.

Sarah: I’m having a moment at this moment and it is inappropriate.
